Terms of service
Last updated 2 November 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and [OPERATOR NAME] ("we", "us"), who runs DinoMap. By signing in or using DinoMap you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use DinoMap.
1. What DinoMap is
DinoMap is a companion website for the game The Isle. It reads game files that The Isle saves on your own computer, turns them into positions and details of the dinosaurs on your server, and shares them live with the people in your session. It does not modify, inject into or connect to the game.
DinoMap is an independent project. It is not made, endorsed or supported by Afterthought LLC or the makers of The Isle, and The Isle may change in ways that stop DinoMap working, in part or entirely.
2. Your account
- You sign in with Discord. You must be old enough to hold a Discord account where you live, and at least 13.
- One account per person. Do not share your login or let others use your access.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
3. Subscriptions and the day pass
- Full access is a monthly subscription, billed through our payment processor, Stripe. The price is shown before you pay. It renews automatically every month until you cancel.
- You can cancel any time from your account page. You keep access until the end of the month you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.
- We may change the price. A change applies from your next renewal after we tell you, and you can cancel before it does.
- A friend who hosts a session can invite you to a free day pass: 24 hours of view-only access to that session. There is one day pass per Discord account, ever.
- Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
4. Playing fair
You are responsible for following the rules of The Isle and of every server you play on. Some servers do not allow map or tracking tools; using DinoMap there is your choice and your risk, and we are not responsible if a server or the game takes action against you.
You agree not to:
- use DinoMap to harass, threaten, stalk or dox anyone, in game or out;
- send DinoMap data that you did not get from your own game, or that you have altered or made up;
- scrape, resell or publish data from DinoMap, or share access to sessions with people who are not in them;
- try to get around access controls, payments or bans, overload the service, or probe it for weaknesses without our written permission;
- use DinoMap for anything unlawful.
5. Notes, tags and nicknames
Tags, notes and server nicknames you write are private to you. You are responsible for what you write. Do not put real-world personal details about other people in them.
6. Suspension and banning
We may suspend or ban an account that breaks these terms, puts other people at risk, or harms the service. A ban ends access straight away and cancels any subscription so you are not charged again. See the refund policy for what happens to the current month.
You can stop using DinoMap whenever you like, and ask us to delete your account at [CONTACT EMAIL].
7. The service is provided as is
DinoMap shows what your group's game files report, which can be late, incomplete or wrong. We work to keep it running, but we do not promise it will always be available, accurate or free of errors, and we may change or remove features. To the extent the law allows, DinoMap is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
8. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses in The Isle, such as dinosaurs, growth or bans. Our total liability to you for anything to do with DinoMap is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you on the site or through Discord before it takes effect. Continuing to use DinoMap after that means you accept the new terms.
10. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE / COUNTRY], apart from any consumer protections where you live that cannot be set aside. Questions: [CONTACT EMAIL].
